Ingredients
- Fennel seeds (1 tsp)
- Black pepper crushed (¼ tsp)
- Fortune maida (2 cups)
- Rice flour (½ cup)
- Salt (A pinch)
- Cardamom powder (¼ tsp)
- Fortune Soya Health Refined Soyabean Oil (1 Tbsp + deep fry)
- Water (As required)
- Fortune sugar (2 cups)
- Water (1 cup)
- Fennel seeds (1 tsp)
For sugar syrup
method
- In a mortar pestle grind fennel seeds, black pepper and keep aside.
- In a mixing bowl combine fortune maida, rice flour, salt, cardamom powder, mixture from mortar pestle, Fortune Soya Health Refined Soyabean Oil and mix well.
- Add water as required and knead into a hard dough.
- Cover the dough with a moist muslin cloth and keep it to rest for 15-20 mins.
- Meanwhile heat a pan and add Fortune Sugar, water, fennel seeds and cook till 1 string consistency is achieved. Keep the syrup aside once ready.
- Heat a pan with Fortune Soya Health Refined Soyabean Oil to deep fry the panchasara paras.
- Dust flour on the side and take a large portion of the dough and Using a rolling pin roll it into a paratha.
- Using a knife cut the dough into diamond shape pieces and keep aside. Repeat the procedure for the entire dough.
- Deep fry the paras till crisp and golden brown on both sides
- Remove on an absorbent paper when crisp and golden brown
- Take the sugar syrup pan and mix well.
- Add the fried paras into the sugar syrup and mix well.
- Transfer the paras to a serving plate and serve as desired.
