South Indian Delights: Rava Dosa

Do you often crave for dosas but don’t have the time and patience to make the batter? Rava dosa is then the perfect choice for you! Made in not more than 20 minutes, this recipe has all the goodness of your quintessential dosa.

Rava Dosa

South Indian Delights: Rava Dosa
  • Rava (6 tbsp)
  • Maida (4 tbsp)
  • Ginger crushed (1½ tsp)
  • Coriander leaves finely chopped (1 tbsp)
  • Cumin seeds (Jeera) (1 tsp)
  • Rice flour (2 tbsp)
  • Onion finely chopped (1 medium size)
  • Green chillies finely chopped (1 tsp)
  • Salt (as per taste)
  • Curry leaves finely chopped (2)
  • Curd (2 tbsp)
  • Fortune Oil (3 tsp)
  • Water approximately (1 bowl)
  • Let’s first mix rava, maida and rice flour. Then add in coriander, cumin, green chillies and onion.
  • Next, stir in curry leaves, ginger and salt. Mix the dry ingredients before adding curd.
  • Time to add water. Add water gradually and keep blending the batter till you achieve a pouring consistency.
  • Heat a tawa and pour a bowlful of batter over it.
  • Now add oil all over the dosa and at the corners too. Let it cook till the corners are crisp and brown.
  • Your delicious dosa is ready! Serve it hot with coconut chutney.
