What goes into making Soya Tikka?

  • 1 Cup Soya Chunks 
  • 1 Glass Water
  • 1 Cup Thick Curd
  • 2 Tbsp Besan 
  • ½ Tbsp Red Chilli Powder
  • ½ Tbsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Coriander Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Cumin Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Garam Masala 
  • Salt (To Taste)
  • 1 Tbsp Lemon Juice 
  • 1 Tbsp Ginger-Garlic Paste 
  • Mustard Oil (Marinade)
  • 1 Capsicum (Diced)
  • 1 Onion (Diced)
  • Oil (Frying)

How to make Soya Tikka – Tandoor Stick?

Bring a pot of water to a boil with salt, add the soya chunks, and simmer for 5-6 minutes.

Drain the chunks and rinse them with cool water. Squeeze out the excess water from the chunks and set aside. 

In a large mixing bowl, combine all the spices, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, and heated mustard oil. 

Once the Soya Tikka marinade is thoroughly mixed, add the diced capsicum, onion, and soya chunks. Coat the veggies well and let them marinate for 10-15 minutes. 

On skewer sticks, arrange the marinated veggies and soya chunks. 

Heat oil in a frying pan and grill the tikkas evenly until golden brown. 

Serve the Soya Tikkas hot with mint chutney on the side.
