Dal Bati Recipe


    • 75gm wheat flour (kakro)
    • 1tsp Chana Atta
    • 1tbsp Wheat flour
    • 1tsp Curd
    • 3tbsp Ghee
    • Pinch of coarsely ground Coriander seeds
    • Pinch of soda
    • Salt to taste


    • 5tbsp Toor Dal
    • 4tbsp Chana Dal
    • 5tbsp whole Moong
    • 2tbsp Urad Dal
    • 2tbsp Fortune Oil
    • 1tsp Jeera
    • 2 Cloves
    • 1 Cinnamon stick
    • 2 Red Chillies whole
    • 1 Bay leaf
    • ½tsp Turmeric
    • 1tbsp Red Chilli powder
    • 1tsp Dhania Jeera powder
    • 1tsp Chilli and Ginger chopped
    • 1tbsp Lemon Juice
    • Salt to taste
    • 2tbsp Coriander leaves
Method of preparation
    • Make tight dough out of the flour mixture.
    • Make it into ladoos and & press well.
    • Over an earthen tawa lit dung cake and place the Bati over the aluminium sieve.
    • Cover with a lid and cook for 10-15 minutes.
    • Boil the soaked dal, in a pan heat oil, add jeera, cloves, cinnamon stick, bay leaf, whole red chilli, chopped ginger and chilli along with all dry masala's along with 150 ml of water bring to boil.
    • Now add the Dal.
    • Season it with lemon juice and salt garnish with coriander leaves.
